Leicester East MP Shivani Raja, one of the UK\u2019s few Hindu MPs, has also raised the alarm. In a post on X, she wrote:\u201cOur Diwali celebrations are STILL at risk. Diwali in Leicester is one of the biggest celebrations outside India \u2013 and the highlight of our city\u2019s calendar. Yet Leicester City Council now want to limit celebrations, citing safety concerns. That\u2019s why I, alongside Neil O\u2019Brien MP, have written to the Chief Constable to press for solutions.
