US Customs and Border Protection will expand its biometric tracking, photographing nearly all non-US citizens entering or departing the country. This new rule, effective soon, aims to enhance national security and combat fraudulent travel by creating a comprehensive facial-recognition database. It eliminates previous age exemptions and applies to all non-citizens, including lawful permanent residents.
