Anticipation is a learnable skill, not a talent. It starts with reading the animal’s body language — ears, tail, and eyes signal intent 10 to 15 seconds before movement happens. It continues with a pre-planned reframe: if the animal walks left, switch to portrait orientation; if it charges, stay wide. It requires keeping a second body or wide zoom on the seat rather than in the bag — access time matters at 1/1000s.
