Kannada actor Ranya Rao was caught with 17 gold bars, weighing 14.2kg, at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport. The gold was allegedly smuggled from Dubai. Ranya, the daughter of a senior IPS officer, has been remanded in three-day custody by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence and directed to cooperate with the investigation.
