Rajya Sabha approved extending President’s Rule in Manipur for six more months due to ongoing unrest. Union minister Nityanand Rai moved the resolution, previously passed by Lok Sabha. This decision follows N Biren Singh’s resignation as chief minister amidst violence between Meitei and Kuki-Zomi communities, displacing thousands.
