The INDIA bloc has strongly criticized the Election Commission’s ongoing voter deletion process, citing opacity and flawed data. They allege that over 63 lakh voters are at risk of disenfranchisement due to inconsistencies in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. The opposition demands an immediate halt, warning of the potential exclusion of nearly 2 crore people and threatening democratic participation.
