A supplier’s product range tells only part of the story. Garment factories should also examine how the supplier handles samples, quotations, quality control, stock and repeat orders. Important questions include whether the required GSM is regularly available, whether rolls are checked before dispatch and whether the supplier can maintain the same specifications over multiple deliveries. Clear communication is equally valuable, especially when factories have strict production deadlines or need to source several interlining grades.
Experienced fusible interlining suppliers should be able to provide practical information rather than simply quoting a price. If the factory manufactures suits, it should also confirm that the proposed interlining for suit manufacturer applications matches the outer fabric and construction. Checking adhesion, shrinkage, colour, coating uniformity and hand-feel before bulk procurement can identify potential problems early. A supplier that supports testing and maintains reliable specifications is generally a stronger long-term choice than one selected solely because its initial quotation is cheaper.
