A Madhya Pradesh constable managed to draw a full salary for 12 years without ever reporting for duty after being appointed in 2011. Due to a communication lapse, his absence went unnoticed until a pay-scale review in 2023 revealed the fraud, during which over Rs 28 lakh was credited to his account.
